The human body is the intersection of several social issues, such as gender inequalities, racial discrimination, and queerphobia. How it interacts with its environment, linking the mind to the world and expressing emotions, has always fascinated me. Using strong contrasts in light, texture, and composition, I explore the body as an architectural tool, delving into its structural and expressive potential.
I almost always sketch my projects beforehand, focusing on mannerisms and facial expressions to capture nuanced emotions and tensions. My work, whether in series, diptychs, or individual images, seeks to evoke a sense of tension that never resolves, creating an ongoing dialogue between the viewer and the photographs.
